Bubble Thursday....

Had planned on sewing today, but, the dirty windows & screens could wait no longer.

It was an overcast day, which means I would be able to wash the south side of the house without it drying too fast. We now have very clean windows and the world look so different (much brighter)...

Then as I looked at the bucket of soapy water I saw two things in my driveway all covered with pollen.

I thought I would just wash my van.

Then that made the truck look awful, soooooooooooooo, decided I would wash Mr. V's little truck. Which is all nice and shinny now as you can see above.

Mr. V and his work truck pulled up after I had just finished. Took one look at that and thought it would have to wait, I think I was coming up on the end of my "Lets wash everything in sight." It is a big truck and very tall 4 wheel drive. Mr. V did say he is more than likely getting rid of this one for a little bit smaller truck. Glad I didn't wash it then, its new owner can.

Above you will see some of the pollen that was washed off the van and truck. That yellow stuff is everywhere right now!!!!!!!!!

I will close with a shot of the climbing rose bush out front. I can not wait until it blooms, which looks like maybe next week it will. Mr. V wants to trim it since you can hardly get into the gate now. I want to wait until after it starts blooming. Will see how long he can stand running into the bush. I did find a wonderful rose food for it this year. The food has stuff in it that will kill aphids and you don't have to worry about spraying! Have tried every kind of soap and nothing has ever worked. This seems to be doing the trick, finally, a year without those pesky aphids.

We don't have screens in this country. We had some in Japan and though it was hard to get motivated to clean them, getting all that black dirt off is satisfying isn't it?
