Happy Valentine's Day....

Today is that day where pretty things are everywhere. Even at Trader Joe's yesterday afternoon, which always have flowers. They seem to have been more than ready for today.

My yesterday was spent taking the RL out to buy a gift for her boyfriend. Which completely entertained me. I will be the first to admit she is not one for the girlie things in life. We first stopped at Best Buys so she could pick up a game for WB. (I was also on the mission of finding a few things for RA for her birthday next week.) We then went next door to Michael's so she could get a container to put the game in. She bought a Chinese Take Out box that was translucent. Then got some red curling ribbon, which was followed by heart stickers to put on the box. Told Mr. V about this and he was amused as I was by all the thought she was putting into this. This is their second Valentine's Day together and I think they are doing something after she is done with classes today since he has no work for a change. It nice to see she can actually do something besides work on her computer and use that Wacom board all the time. Was also nice spending sometime with her alone.

We are at that pretty time of year around here. The storms roll through and bring very pretty clouds along with them.

The morning still has frost, but, some plants are starting to bloom. Flowering pears always seem to bloom much earlier than anything else around here.

Hope you have a lovely Valentine's Day. I put a card into Mr. V's lunch this morning for him along with some dark chocolate covered raisins. That will pretty much be it as far as Valentine's Day goes around for us. Been married 27 years and we just like spending time at home with each other. Later this morning RA is making some cupcakes for all of us, so know the boy will be thrilled we have cupcakes in the house again.
